I asked my Pastor to help me out financially because I lost my job and now he wants to take advantage of me - CONFUSED

Question: Brother Khrystus, I asked my Pastor to help me out financially because I lost my job, couldn't find one for a long, long time and still had my obligations to meet. I did tell him that I'll pay him back, but he now wants to take advantage of me and my body and he is married to such a beautiful wife who loves the Lord and The Church and he is ALWAYS  FULL  OF  THE  SPIRIT - I'm totally CONFUSED. What should I do?

Answer:  Thanks for writing to Dare 2 Be Different and asking. I wasn't stunned at all by your question because I sadly, too often hear of such teribble behaviour from US as ministers of the gospel.

This is a one of the hottest topics that I have to counsel and show that there is HOPE. Pastors molesting boys and girls or using their church members, especially when they ask them for help.

Friend, I want you to know from the very onset, that you didn't do anything wrong to approach your pastor FIRST for help. That's what the Bible recommends, we, as the CHURCH  BODY look out for each other with NEEDS.

It's sad that he has displayed the same behaviour as the world, the same behaviour that you probably ran from when you decided to ask a church person or SO-CALLED church person.

The way to get over this and move on is to be bold and courageous and speak up. YOU  CANNOT  BE  SILENT  ANYMORE  and let him play on your meek spirit. Here's what I recommend.

1. Pray to God for strength and courage

2. When he makes a forward statement again, or don't wait for him to make it, tell him, "Pastor, I looked up to you as my SHEPHERD, not as someone who always wanted to take advantage of me sexually. I now think of you differently and I am going to share the experience with the church leadership and your wife, for you to make amends there first"

3. Expect him to threaten you or threaten to bring you down or tear your name apart by saying you aproached him first for sex. PASTORS  CAN  BE  DEVIOUS - VERY DEVIOUS. Always remember that not all Ministers of the Gospel are called by God. Some are called by man and others put themselves there. (Always check the spirits to see if they are of God or of the enemy. In this 21st century, there are MANY  CHURCHES and MANY  CULTS - BE CAREFUL)

4. Always remember, Isaiah 41:10 ¶ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

GOD  WILL BE  WITH  YOU!

If you're not that bold, there are other alternatives, like sharing it with someone confidential and asking him to approach the pastor quietly and deal with the matter.

You can also write to express how you feel with hopes that it will teach him manners and respect for his members.

Your way of dealing with it all depends on how BOLD or SOFT SPOKEN you are. Always remember, Dare 2 Be Different can definitely be your mouth piece where ever you are in the world. We can call, email, write a letter to him or the church or church board that governs his assembly and present your claims.

It makes it even better if you are a YOUTH - BECAUSE  WE  ARE  OVERLY  PASSIONATE  ABOUT  REPRESENTING  AND  SPEAKING  OUT  for our young people. The church and it's members who know alot about what's going on and not talking out are just as bad as THE  CHURCH  MEMBERS  and MINISTERS  committing such acts.

Someone has to let PASTORS know that others know what they are doing and they need to PULL  UP  THEIR  SOCKS  or  GET  OUT  OF  GOD'S  BUSINESS for He always has the final say.

(I am wondering if to remove the title of PREACHER from by my name below because of how ashamed I am)

I can't find a job. I am depressed and ready to give up. What should I do?

Question: Brother Khrystus, Let me get straight to the point. I need a job. Can you employ me right now at http://www.kvkenterprises.com/ ? I keep hearing trust in God, trust in God and still nothing. I am depressed and ready to give up. What is left for me to do now? (I hope you don't see my message as disrespectful)

Answer:  Thanks for writing to Dare 2 Be Different and asking. I don't see your message as disrespectful at all. That is why young people especially like writing to me, because I get down to their level and understand that they sometimes don't know how to express themselves any better or just want to be plain and not go around the bush. This is totally fine!

I also want to answer your first part of the question quickly too. At the moment, I don't have any vacancies, but I will definitely keep you on file and in mind in the event something part time or full time comes along.

I want to join those who told you previously to KEEP TRUSTING  IN  GOD! I also want to go a bit further though. Kindly pay very careful attention.

During this trying global economic time where there is very little money flowing and not much businesses employing, God is asking you and other young people to use the talent or talents that he has given to you and BE  INNOVATIVE.

He is asking you a question right now? What talent or skill or things around you do you have? Just like he asked the Shunamite Woman in 2 Kings 4:2 And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.

The Shunamite lady thought she didn't have anything or anything much, but God used her little pot of oil to take her out of debt and give her a surplus.

With regards to what you should do? I want to ask you some questions in return? What are you good at? What do you like to do? What do you have around you or have access to?

Can you cook? Can you plait or braid hair?

Do you like babies or children?

Are you educated enough to teach some private classes at afternoons?

Are you good at the computer so you can give training to children or adults?

Can you design? Can you draw? Can you write? Are you good at photography?

Can you farm?

Do you know how to bake bread or donuts or bun or patries or chicken or the like?

Do you like to clean?

Are you good at accounts or secretarial work?

Do you have fruit trees in your yard or on some family or friend's land? Ask to pick the fruits and sell them.

Why not plant off the back of your yard or the empty piece of your land or family land that is growing high with bushes? Plant some short crops. Nuts, Lettuce, Tomatoes, herbs, cucumbers, string beans, etc etc (In a few weeks or months, you can turn these plants into HARD  CASH!!!!)

Why not turn the peanuts into your own local peanut butter. You might get it to go big and around the world? That how KFC started, Mr. Colonel was playing around with some seasoning in his kitchen then he sold the recipe later on and got some good money.

Use your time to think of some new invention. WE  HAVE  THE  MIND  TO  DO  IT!
I can go on and on and on, but I do believe that you catch where I am coming from. TRY  SOMETHING  YOURSELF!

Don't just try ONE THING. Try and advertise as many things that you are talented in. Thus during this hard time when one isn't working, you can do something else until you get a job or realize that you can do your own thing and make your own money.

God gave each of us LIFE, WISDOM, INNOVATION and STRENGTH. That's his help. So in truth and in fact, He has indeed helped us already. We just have to use what he has given to us in order to MAKE  LIFE and GATHER  AN  INCOME

Seriously! BE  INNOVATIVE, USE  THE  TALENTS  THAT  GOD has given you to make life. Don't just sit there until you die, do like the leprous men who asked in  2 Kings 7:3 ¶ And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?

But do like them in 2 King 7:5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians:

They refused to stay there and GIVE  UP. They pressed on. So too, should you. Be innovative and do something or somethings. It's better to make $1 than no dollar at all. Am I wrong?

I look forward to buying something from you or patronizing the services of many young people who read this response in the future around the world when I visit. I look forwad to receving an email to : information@kwforchrist.com to tell me that I inspired you. This will bless my heart sooooo much.

In all you do, NEVER  GIVE  UP!  KEEP  ON  PUSHING!  Keep on HOPING. I stay hopeful that an investor or investors will contact me one day to hear some of my dreams and help carry my current and future ideas forward.

If you follow me on the internet, you'll see that I lead by example as a 26 year old youth  who started my 1st business when I was 13. I try everything to stay alive. I use ALL my talents and abilities to make a $1 here or there. You should too.

So, if you need help putting together a business plan or putting your idea to work or finding a supplier to order from or a shipper to ship your goods. Visit my website: http://www.kwconsultingskn.com/ - While some sessions may be free, others might carry a cost.

I am not open to the big richer individuals alone, but to the small youth too. I can advise you further.

I read and learned how to create websites myself since I was 13. http://www.kvkenterprises.com/ is what I built first and it is still running and making me a $1 today. Feel free to visit a few of my other website creations at:
http://www.shopandshipskn.com/  or http://www.thesupplyshopinc.com/  or http://www.kvkdeals.com/ or http://www.d2bdifferent.com/ or http://www.kwforchrist.com/ or http://www.allaboutskn.com/

Don't waste all your time on Facebook or playing games or gossiping. Time is Precious and should always be put to GOOD  USE!

Be Innovative! Refuse to give up and get depressed! Do something with your God-Given Talents and have fun, like me in the process.

Why Doesn't My Pastor and Church Use Me?

Question: Brother Khrystus, I've been going to my church for several years now and I have many talents but I am not being used by my pastor or the church. They only seem to use one set of people all the time. I feel I am being victimized because they know what I'm good at doing because I've done it before a few times over 10 years. I am getting discouraged because I really want to go all out for Christ but I am being kept back. What do you think I should do?

Answer:  Thanks for writing to Dare 2 Be Different and asking. I'll be happy to help as I know just where you are coming from. I get this question ALOT, especially from my Youth Following. Some leaders and church boards continue to do a very poor job of searching out the talents of other members who sit in the benches and in their groups. This is really bad.

Thus, in many churches, we find that the same worship leader, the same keyboardist, the same drummer, the same person who reads the notices, the same person teaches the Sunday School class, does it for years and years and years. We tend to see that many places churches. Not just in your country, but in the Caribbean too.

I believe a GOOD  LEADER constantly prepares the way, for the next generation, the next set of people coming up, the new converts. This is the best LEADER  THERE  IS. A good leader is never jealous or threatened by those coming up or he / she isn't a TRUE leader at all.

Churches MUST realize that each person that answers God's call to Salvation, he equips them with a variety of gifts so as to keep His work going. None of us is good at everything and we should be training and giving our members a chance to get the experience and go out and build.

1Pe 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

So, whether your gift is dancing, teaching, singing, playing, preaching, your pastor, elder or church board should find some way to let you and the other young people fit in.

This is why I know that many leave the church and go into the world because they get to do more there. PLEASE  DON'T  LET  A  CHURCH  BODY  FORCE  YOU  OUT!

As to what to do, I recommend that you first talk to your Pastor or Church Elder soonest about the concerns on your heart. Pay very careful attention to their responses and be sure to follow their guidance. Let me warn you though, Ask God for a spirit of discernment so as to find out whether they are really a MAN or WOMAN after God's own heart and cares for His business to go on, or if they are totally opposite and jealous and trying to keep back the mighty move that God is trying to do through you.

I had a similar experience too friend, I had to move on and just follow God's leading and call on my life. Had I not done that, I wouldn't have founded Dare 2 Be Different International (http://www.d2bdifferent.com/) and I wouldn't be writing here to help you in your country, from a little 68 square mile country called St. Kitts in the Caribbean, if I didn't follow God's Call First.

And Yes. . . .I am not about moving forward ALONE. I am about PUSHING my TEAM forward too. I ensure that they are not only busy in ministry, but I am guiding all of them to be business owners so they can properly provide for their families and themselves now and in the future, when or if they decide to get married. I can't do it all. I can't leave them behind also. I must prepare the way for one of them to take over or someone else to fill in where I leave off.

So I use my small team in mighty ways.  I have ensured that Lemercius Wallace, my brother, who is Director of Music and Technology, has his own business too. http://www.djmerci.com/

Joy Codrington, who is Drama director also has her own business - http://www.tagdownskn.com/

Kerese Dias, our Dance and Finance Director has her own business - http://www.kayscorpskn.com/

This is what a good leader does, grows and looks after his team in every aspect. They work hard and feel blessed to be apart of The Dare 2 Be Different Team and reaching and impacting the world.

So pray hard and continue searching as to see if you really should be there or move on where you can be used.

Is It Bad To Have Too Many Dreams?

Question: Brother Khrystus, I keep dreaming and dreaming and dreaming of all sorts of things that I want to do in my life. I just never seem to stop dreaming. Is it bad to have too many dreams?

Answer: Hi friend, I LOVE your question. I believe that we are related because I stay dreaming too. There is NOTHING wrong with having ONE dream or having a MILLION Dreams. You are on the right path!

Those who have dreams and pursue them, usually reach much further than those who have no dreams or who have dreams and do not pursue them.

Again, NOTHING  IS  WRONG  WITH  DREAMING. Let's look at Genesis 37:5  And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more.

Joseph was hated by his VERY  OWN  BROTHERS for dreaming and sharing his dreams. So too, we will be hated too. Some would get jealous of you because you have great dreams and they have none or very little, or can't seem to get their dreams accomplished. When they are jealous and start hating you and trying to keep you down - Stay dreaming!

Note well, don't just stay dreaming only, but pray and ask God's will for your life and his guidance, blessing and provision as you follow your heart.

Great Dreamers usually have a very trying or hard time before many of their dreams come to pass. They have to remain patient, keep their FAITH  high and stay working and HOPEFUL. Look at Joseph!

1. His brothers hated him
2. They sold him into slavery
3. He was wrongfully imprisoned because he ran from Potiphar's wife
4. When he thought the butler would remember him and help him get out of prison, he was forgotten again. WHAT  DISCOURAGEMENT  THIS  GREAT  DREAMER  HAD?

Through it all, he NEVER gave up and kept trusting in GOD until he received his promotion. Geneis 41:40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

WOW - Do you see that? Joseph went from the prison to the palace. From the forgotten to the most recognized. Keep your trust in God and your faith HIGH as you stay DREAMING and you - may I say WE  - WE  WILL  REACH  FAR  TOGETHER!

Looking forward to reading or hearing about your successes in the future as you stay dreaming and stay holding on to God!

Does the Bible say anything about Love and Dating?

Question: Hi Brother Khrystus, I'm a mature teenager and I'm thinking about getting a boyfriend. I want to be very careful though because I want my relationship to last and not end up like my parents. Does the Bible say anything about love and dating and relationships?

Answer: I'm happy you asked. Dare 2 Be Different has a love guide website on www.loveshouldlast.com, but the Bible does address love and relationships in several parts. Let me share a few.

1. We are reminded to be very careful to protect our hearts. Proverbs 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Thus, as you think about giving your affections, or feelings to anyone else, be sure to be very careful and walk slowly, listen, watch and scrutinize your date and CHECK  THEIR  HEART AND  INTENTIONS to see if they really love the Lord. One who truly loves the Lord always makes a better lover because he / she knows how to give that love to you in return.

2. Only date other Christians! The Bible warns about this in 2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Many youth start dating non-christians and these non-christians usually end up pulling them out of fellowship with God. So. . . don't say I never warned you. DO  NOT  DATE  NON  CHRISTIANS  AS  A  CHRISTIAN. Your beliefs are usually different.

One Example: Suppose you two plan to go out. He wants to go to the club, but you prefer a simple and quiet dinner date. This could start causing problems from the beginning.

Another Example: Does the non-christian know how to keep you encouraged in the Lord? Does he know his Bible? Is he willing to pray with you and attend prayer meeting and church? These are the things many Christian youth who connect with non-christians fail to look at and when they connect, there are plenty of problems.

NOTE: DO  NOT  PITY  ANY  PERSON  YOU  DATE. What you see before, is usually what you'll get after. So, if they're not up to SCRATCH, have a dirty attitude, already trying to CONTROL you instead of helping you, too jealous if you talk to others, LAZY, Can't do anything etc. DUMP  THEM IN  THE  EARLIES AND  KEEP  ON  PRAYING  AND  LOOKING  UNTIL  GOD  ALLOWS  YOU  TO  FIND  THAT  RIGHT  ONE!

Best Wishes as you depend on God to connect you with the right person!
